As navy science vessels thus began to comb the sea for information, the Manatee Warriors spent some time making a few plans of their own, staying up late into the night.

“How long are we supposed to go on hiding out here, like some kind of boxed-in Moonarkie swamp rats, or something?” Metso whined, irritated at their constant hiding. “I am tired of all of this foolishness! It’s starting to drive me crazy, sneaking around like a bunch of dirty criminals!”

“As much as I hate to admit it for once, I agree with Metso, Medor!” Valtorra replied, pleading as she looked at Medor for sympathy. “We did not come all the way out here just to sneak around in the dark. At least let us find something interesting to do while we are here, Medor. Sweegee and Zackcarr can find what we are looking for, and if they need our help, they will summon us to their side!”

“For all we know, there could be a whole lot more here than we’re expecting.” Sweegee said. “We all hands on deck.”

“Sweegee, we cannot deal with these foolish ventures and meaningless destinations! Time is precious for some of us, but not for you, evidently. I thought Moonark was supposed to be so advanced that we did not need to fear anything or anybody? Speak for yourself then, because I am not afraid!” Metso added insistently, staring down Sweegee.

“You know it is not a matter of fear, Metso!” Medor intervened. “It is a matter of finding the most important answers to our existence. We don’t need to be running around making distractions for ourselves. Trust me, let’s just stick to our goal for now, and maybe we’ll have time for a little fun later.”

“Medor is right!” Sweegee pitched in. “If those humans find us now, who knows what they would want to do with us here on this planet? This is not just a planet we can afford to get out and explore, it is full of things we have never seen or heard of before. We need to use every caution and stay focused on the task at hand.”

“Yeah, Yeah Sweegee . . . but, I am ready for some action, now. I need to be doing something or I will explode!” he cried, shaking his mighty fists as he growled with impatient despair.

“Yes . . . I know how you think, my friend, we all do. And that’s the problem, I know you too well big fellow . . . I’m trying to tell you this as gently as I can. We are not here to fight, or to take over this planet! You can’t just run around and do the things you do on Moonark. We do not need to be making a mess out there and getting ourselves in trouble. Never forget . . . we are on the planet Earth now, not Moonark! Things here are a lot different here. You need to always keep that in the back of your mind, my stubborn-hearted friend.
